Bonnie J. Arnold, 83, of Roodhouse, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.
She was born March 24, 1929, in Roodhouse, the daughter of Ellis and Mary Jones Andrews. She married Cletus Arnold on Oct. 17, 1949, in Roodhouse, and he survives.
She is also survived by two daughters, Carolyn Jackson and Karen (husband, Phil) McLaughlin, both of Winchester; four sons, Rick Arnold of Terrell, Texas, Lyndell (wife, Nora) Arnold and Mark Arnold, both of Jacksonville and Scott (wife, Pam) Arnold of Rochelle; 15 grandchildren, Julie (husband, Rich) Slunaker of St. Peters, Mo., Jed (wife, Amanda) Arnold and Jessica (husband, Andy) Wilson, both of Jacksonville, Matt (wife, Andrea) Arnold of Indianapolis, Stephanie (husband, Josh) Dugan of Springfield, Adam (wife, Krista) Holford of Canton, Elizabeth (fiancé, Chris Adcock) Holford of Woodson, Kymmy Jackson, Nykole McLaughlin, Andria McLaughlin and Braden McLaughlin, all of Winchester, and Megan Arnold, Madeline Arnold, Mary Arnold and Mykaela Arnold, all of Rochelle; 10 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Boston of Olathe, Colo.; and one brother, Lloyd Andrews of Orlando, Fla. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Jean Arnold; one sister, Carol June Andrews; and one brother, William Junior Andrews.
Mrs. Arnold was a homemaker who spent her time caring for others. If her family or friends didn't need anything, she would take care of her pets. She loved traveling with her husband in their RV, especially enjoying trips to Alaska and New York City. She was a member of Lincoln Land Ramblers RV Club and First Christian Church in Jacksonville.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Bowers Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will meet friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Winchester E.M.S.
