Charles Harold "Chuck" Clendenen, 62, of Cedar Park, Texas, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at Round Rock Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born July 8, 1950, the son of Clifford Harold and Ethel Coonrod Clendenen. He married Beverly Bryant on Jan. 7, 1976, in Augsburg, Germany, and she survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Lucas (Steffanie) and Adam (Stephanie), both of Round Rock, Texas; one daughter, Sarah (Aaron) of Austin; four grandchildren; Kingsley Vyvial and Tristan, Hazzard and Mara Clendenen; one brother, Kelly of Roodhouse; and two sisters, Debbie Grable of Jacksonville and Laurie Felter of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael and Monte Clendenen; and one sister, Teena Cook.
Chuck retired from the U.S. Army in 1996 where he held the rank of Command Sergeant Major. In recent years, he worked for software company Infoglide in Austin, Texas, and as a special investigator for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. He was an accomplished musician and writer and was greatly interested in genealogy and family history.
A memorial will be held at a future date to celebrate his life.
