James Henry Antle, 78, of Jacksonville, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 29, 1932, in Jacksonville, the son of Henry and Dorothy Hagen Antle who preceded him in death along with his beloved sister, Iona "Toots" Burch; his stepmother, Evelyn Antle; and his Uncle Wash and Aunt Zora Hagen, who were his guardian angels.
James was loved by all his friends, family and special guardians including his brother-in-law, Walter Burch, niece, Mary (Mark) Carmel, and beloved cousins, Mary Lou (Wade) Dudley and Gayle (Ronald) Reiser. James has four stepbrothers and sisters; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Antle had worked for the Elm City Center and Pathways Services Unlimited, Inc., retiring in 2005. Special thanks to all caregivers at Pathways Services, Inc., James' housemates and special friends, Duane and Rosemary.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Pathway Services or Elm City Center. Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.buchanancody.com.
