Ted Sooy, 49, of Jacksonville, and formerly of Murfreesboro, Tenn., passed away Friday Sept. 7, 2012.
He was born March 21, 1963, in Jacksonville, the son of Bob Sooy and Kay Seeman Sooy Givan.
He is survived by his mother, Kay Givan of Provo, Utah; brother, Chris Givan of Santa Ana, Calif.; sister, Terri Sami of Provo, Utah; and son, Ethan Sooy of Spanish Fork, Utah. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Sooy of Jacksonville; and grandparents, Martha and Wyman Sooy and grandparents Vicky and Harold Seeman.
He spent his life doing flooring which took him all over the country doing jobs for hotels. Until six months ago, Ted lived in Murfreesboro, Tenn., for 25 years where he met the woman he considered his soulmate, Faye Melton. Ted is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends that will miss him dearly. Ted loved listening to music and could always make you laugh!
At his request his remains were cremated. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Memorials are suggested to the
