Betty Reno, 78, of Jerseyville, and formerly of Greene County, died Wednesday evening, May 16, 2012, at the Jerseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jerseyville.

Born near Eldred on April 28, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Ike and Tillie Wollenweber Camerer. She married Keith Reno on Dec. 2, 1972, and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Vick Rose of Salem and Debra (husband, Doug) Geers of Carrollton; two sons, Steven (companion, Patty) Cress of Godfrey and Ronald Cress of Battle Mountain, Nev.; two stepchildren, Jim (wife, Nancy) Reno of Carrollton and Melody (husband, Rick) Frank of Jerseyville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; three brothers, Beverly "Tucker" (wife, Grace) Camerer of Murrayville, Larry Camerer of Eldred and Gary Camerer of Gillespie. She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Stacey (Bechdoldt) Goertz; and two brothers, Charles and Ike "Junior" Camerer.
Betty loved her grandkids, fishing, travelling and "RV" ing. She worked at the Jerseyville Shoe Factory, Owens-Illinois Glassworks in Alton and Mobil Chemical Company in Jacksonville. She will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton. Services will be held at the funeral home Monday at 10 a.m., with burial to follow at Kane Cemetery.
