Timothy "Tim" Dale Staats, 50, of Jacksonville, died at his home Sunday, March 23, 2014.
He was born Jan. 18, 1964, the youngest son of Glenn and Treena Staats (both deceased) in White Hall.
He is survived by two brothers, Troy (wife Tammy) of Jacksonville, and Terry of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Dixie Bernett (Tony) of Silverdale, Tounya Boone (Scott) of Oak Harbor, Rachelle Swigert (Ron) of Port Orchard, and Debra Conley (Jimmy) of Mount Holly, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a 1982 graduate of JHS, although most of his school years were spent in the North Greene school district. He spent most of his younger years working on various farms, factories, construction and handy man jobs. His last years were spent working with K.E. Vas (by far his favorite).
Tim loved being outdoors, canoeing, camping, fishing and hanging out with his friends. He was especially fond of camping on and exploring Mauvaise Terre creek in his canoe.
Following cremation, a private service will be held. Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of the arrangements.
