Bea Eddinger, 71, of Winchester, passed away late Monday night, March 31, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born March 1, 1943, in Concord, N.C., the daughter of Andrew Lee and Irene Gertrude Williams Johnson. She married Charles Eddinger, and he preceded her in death in 1995 after 25 years of marriage.
She is survived by her sons, Rick (Lisa) Davis of Jacksonville and Ken (Kelly) Davis of Winchester; her companion, Darrell Howard of Winchester; grandchildren Brandi (J.C.) Fryman, Shane Countryman, Josh (Monica) Davis, Charles Davis, and Korri Davis (Brice McDannald); and great-grandchildren Summer Davis, Morgan Piper, Danielle Casson, Kinsey Fryman, and Rylee McDannald. Also preceding her in death was her mother-in-law, Helen Eddinger Frost, and twin great-grandsons, Jake and Charlie McDannald.
Bea worked for over 10 years at Capitol Records and then at Jacksonville Developmental Center, where she retired. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be at Winchester City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Cornerstone Baptist Church Building Fund.
