Marvin Eugene Hunt, 63, of Evansville, Ind., died Thursday morning, April 24, 2014, at his home.
He was born on Jan. 8, 1951, in Litchfield, the son of Marvin L. and Dorothy (Rentz) Hunt. He married Mary Jane Carter on Sept. 11, 1982, in Jacksonville, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother of Litchfield; his son, Dan Hunt (fiance, Lindsey Davis) of Evansville; four grandchildren, Alexis, Aidan, Parker, and Piersin Hunt; brothers Matt Hunt of Peoria and Mark Hunt of Litchfield; and sisters Marsha Gruber of Springfield and Marilyn Baker of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Hunt was a retired funeral director, having worked at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville and Ingram Funeral Home in Albion. After moving to Evansville, he worked as a security guard at Bristol Myers in Mount Vernon. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church in Evansville.
