Mary Janet Cannon, 58, of Jacksonville, passed away early Thursday morning, May 29, 2014, at her residence.
She was born July 30, 1955, in Jacksonville the daughter of Robert and Helen Vieira.
She is survived by three sons, Robert (wife, Tiffany) Cannon of Waynesville, Missouri, Jeromy (wife, Rebecca) Cannon of Plainfield and Zachary (wife, Amanda) Scoggins of Jacksonville; five grandsons, Landon DeLaporte, Aiden Scoggins, Isaiah Scoggins, Jackson Cannon and Miles Cannon; four granddaughters, Alisa Hopper, Katie Cannon, Gracia Canon and Dakota Scoggins; two brothers, James (wife, Jill) Vieira of Edgewood, Kentucky, and Robert (wife, Ruth) Vieira, Jr. of Atlanta, Illinois; five sisters, Frances (husband, Donald) Cobb of Castilia, Ohio, Shirley Vieira of Jacksonville, Betty Burrow of Florence, Kentucky, Nola Vieira of Jacksonville and Bonnie (husband, Wayne) Bryant of Corbin, Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; three great-great-nieces and one great-great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mary graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1974. She was an avid cross stitcher and enjoyed babysitting and tutoring. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and always cheered for Yadier Molina.
