Karen Crawford, 71, of Griggsville, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 2, 2014, at her home.
She was born May 13, 1943, in Perry, the daughter of the late Edward Albert and Beatrice Marie Sneeden Heeman.
She married Richard L. Crawford on June 28, 1963, in Pittsfield, and he survives at home. Also surviving are her two children, Renae Crawford Graham of Jacksonville and Luke Crawford of Griggsville; three grandchildren, Nicole Crawford (fiancé, Brice Laux) of Milton, Levi Graham (fiancée, Kara Newell) of Jacksonville, and Kyle Graham of Meredosia; four great-grandchildren, Alyvia, Brystol, Wyatt Laux of Milton and Emma Graham of Meredosia; and a sister, Mary McCormick of Anchorage, Alaska.
Preceding her in death was her brother, Don Heeman; and a sister, Barbara Kleinlein.
Karen attended Perry schools and she and her husband owned and operated several restaurants in Griggsville through the years. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, flower gardening and especially loved her family.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Chapel in Griggsville. Burial will be at Griggsville Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
