Marvin Dale Krohe, 61, of Beardstown, died Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Heritage Health in Beardstown.
He was born June 23, 1953, in Beardstown, the son of Norman G. E. and Dorothy L. Wilson Krohe.
He is survived by two daughters, Sarah Burnett (husband, Brian) of Peoria Heights, and Jennifer Cahill (husband, Ben) of Canton; three grandchildren, Caleb, Hannah and Jonathan Burnett; three brothers, Edward Krohe (wife, Beth) of Beardstown, Merl Krohe of Havana, and Dennis Krohe (wife, Joyce) of Beardstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Norma Jean Krohe Wilkinson; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Krohe.
Mr. Krohe was a 1971 graduate of Beardstown High School and attended Quincy Tech. He was formerly employed by Caterpillar and International Harvester. An avid fisherman, Marvin enjoyed time spent on the water competing in bass tournaments. He was concerned about the environment and devoted to recycling and solar energy projects. He enjoyed gardening and working with his hands.
Cremation has been accorded. Private family memorial services will be held later at Diamond Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice or Beardstown Ambulance Service.
