Troy L. Logsdon, 48, of Beardstown, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, in Beardstown.
He was born Oct. 16, 1962, in Beardstown, the son of John and Judy Meyer Logsdon. He married Sandra Southerland on Oct. 12, 1985, in Macomb, and she survives.
Also surviving is his mother, Judy Logsdon of Beardstown; three children, Cole, Sarah and Erin Logsdon, all of Beardstown; and his brother Todd Logsdon of Beardstown. He was preceded in death by his father; and one brother, J.C. Logsdon.
Troy graduated from Beardstown High School in 1980. He owned and operated Logsdon Sand and Gravel River Construction Company in Beardstown. He was a member of BPO Elks 1007 and Cass Lodge 23 A.F. & A.M. both in Beardstown. He loved "The Island" in Meredosia Bay where he enjoyed fishing and goose and duck hunting and he was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Troy truly valued and appreciated his family and friends and the times they were gathered together.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Beardstown City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown with Masonic rites being held following visitation at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials have been suggested to Beardstown Elks Club 1007, Shop With A Cop in Beardstown or Elks Children's Care. Condolences may be left to the family at airsman-hires.com.
