Gary Lee Williams, 60, of Bluffs, passed away early Monday morning, Oct. 1, 2012, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
He was born Jan. 26, 1952, in Jacksonville, the son of the late Glenn B. and Arzula Williams.
Surviving is his companion Deborah Foust of Bluffs; his three children, Tom (wife, Halee) of Biggsville, Amanda of Champaign and Stacey Goetze of Bluffs; a granddaughter, Gracie of Bluffs; three brothers, Steve (wife, Karen), Mike (wife, Rita) and Mark (wife, Melanie), all of Bluffs; three sisters, Brenda of Pittsfield, Terrie of Madison, Mo., and Tammy (companion, Roger Fox) of Ashland; along with several nieces and nephews.
Gary was a member of the Bluffs Baptist Church. He was employed by United Contractors Midwest as an asphalt superintendent. He loved to travel to Florida and enjoyed hunting with his brothers, and going to auctions and yard sales.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery near Bluffs. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 5-8 p.m. Memorials can be made to the Meredosia Rescue Squad or the North Scott Fire Protection District.
