Frank Hammond Obituary

Frank Davis Hammond A memorial service for Frank Davis Hammond, age 82, of Plainview, will be Saturday, March 19, 2005, at 2 p.m. in Lemons Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Ron Brunson will officiate. A private burial will be Wednesday, March 23, 2005, in Terrell, under direction of Lemons Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Low officiating. Mr. Hammond, a retired minister, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, in Covenant Hospital in Plainview. He was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Terrell. He married Ida Mae (Loden) Hammond of Terrell in 1948. She predeceased him in June 1997. Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Wilbanks of Plainview; a grandson, Anthony Wilbanks of Plainview; a foster son, Al Dunn and wife Connie of LaGrange; three foster grandchildren, Lee Dunn and Cheri Stine of Houston and Jonathan Dunn of Denver, Colo.; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Joseph Hammond of Roswell, N.M., and Earl Hammond of Ames, Iowa. He also is survived by his caregivers, Marvin and Kathy Sistrunk of Plainview.
