Leland Driver Obituary

Leland Driver Funeral services for Leland Driver, 52, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at New Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Driver died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Vista Care Hospice Home of Lubbock. He was born March 24, 1956, in Plainview. He attended attended Booker T. Washington School and graduated from Plainview High School in 1974. He attended Denton Junior College. He lived in Amarillo before returning to Plainview. He worked for Cargill Meat Solutions for 20 years. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America as a child. Survivors include three sisters, Ruby Owens of Plainview and Aquilla Watson and Lois Hillary, both of Midland; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Leandrel Polk and Jessie and Faye Polk, all of Dallas; two aunts, Louise Ray of Plainview and Frankie Carter of Wortham; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers, His parents, Lee Andrew and Addie Driver; brother, Jimmy Hillary; and sister, Josephine Lowery, are deceased.
