Opal Youngblood Shelton Opal Davis Youngblood Boone Shelton, 84, died at home July 26, 2016. Services will be at Lemons Memorial Chapel, 206 W. Eighth St., Plainview, Texas, at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016. Interment will be at the Olton, Texas, Cemetery following the memorial services. Born Oct. 30, 1931, to W.R. and Jennie Davis in Nelda, Texas, she moved to Olton, Texas, in 1941, then to Plainview, Texas, in 1947. She is preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, Jack Youngblood, Jim Boone and Mel Shelton, two sisters, two brothers, son Chuck Youngblood and great-granddaughter Rosea Morales. She loved playing all kinds of games, fishing, making quilts for family, friends and the public. She worked at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, Graham's, Holiday Inn and Nu Griddle Restaurants. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lou Youngblood of Plainview; sons Jeffery Youngblood of Oklahoma, David Youngblood of Plainview, Jackie Youngblood of Lubbock; sister Rosie Biggs, Tucson, Ariz.; brothers L.T. Davis of Olton, George Davis of Plainview; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and her two fur babies, Fraiser and Bit.
