Funeral Mass for Albert H. Andrae Jr., 84, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Alice Catholic Church with the Rev. Rev. Patrick Maher officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Andrae died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. He was born on Dec. 4, 1926, in Winters to Albert H. Andrae Sr. and Mary Simonizh Andrae. He grew up and attended schools in Winters. He joined the U.S. Army and served during the final stages of World War II. He married Cecelia Haiduk on Aug. 10, 1949, in Panhandle. They moved to Plainview where they farmed for 60 years and raised their family. He was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his children, David Henry Andrae and his wife, Karen, William Thomas Andrae and his wife, Lisa, and Terry Carroll Andrae and his wife, Angie, all of Plainview; and Rebecca Provan and her husband, Phil, of Scurry; one sister, Teresa Stennett of Plainview; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia; a sister, Rosalee Jungman; and his parents. The family suggests memorials to Area Community Hospice 3109 Olton Rd. Ste C.
