Pearl Morris KRESS - Pearl Morris, 90, of Kress passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, in Kress. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at First United Methodist Church in Kress with the Rev. Bob Saul officiating and Pastor Donna Lindley assisting. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A family visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pearl was born March 5, 1923, to Joseph and Roxie Evans in Haskell, Texas. She grew up and attended schools in Kress. She later attended Lippert's Business College. Pearl married A.D. Morris on June 8, 1991. He preceded her in death. She was a seamstress all of her life. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by two stepdaughters, Edna Evans and husband Billy of Kress, and Virginia McMahan of Lubbock; one stepson, James Morris and wife Nelda of Lockney; three nephews, Jim Saul and wife Barbara of Quitaque, Bob Saul and wife Nancy of Fort Worth, and Billy Evans and wife Edna of Kress; four nieces, Eve Burdett and husband Greg of Waxahachie, Texas, Winnie Fleming and husband Dwayne of Plainview, Irene Caudle of Lubbock, and Betty McGary of Mayfield, Ky.; 13 step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
