James Carter Webb James Carter Webb, 87, of Plainview, passed away on Jan. 2, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Jonathan Wright officiating and Mr. Grady Simmons assisting. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. James was born July 21, 1926, to James and Eva Webb in Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School. He married Norma Lou Gaither on July 31, 1947, in Tulia. She preceded him in death. He farmed in Plainview and was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his sister, Zelda Elizabeth Webb. He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Webb and wife Claudia, and Johnny Webb and wife Vicki, all of Plainview; six grandchildren, Coy Webb and fiancé Rachael Lunbdy, Cody Webb and wife Erica, Colti Webb Kissinger and husband Tom, Kristen Webb Wright and husband Jonathan, Jason Webb and wife Shay, and Nathan Webb; 10 great-grandchildren, Tanner Webb, Adeline Webb, Payne Kissinger, Mayson Kissinger, Jaxon Wright, Harper Wright, Trinity Wright, Trooper Wright, Rylee Webb and Jess Webb; a sister-in-law, Nellie King of Amarillo, a brother-in-law, Clarence Gaither of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
