Dr. Ricky Cross Dr. Ricky Cross, 58, died Thursday, June 11, 2015, funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015, in the First Baptist Church Chapel with Mr. Lanny Voss officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Ricky was born on June 4, 1957, in Lockney to Marion and Darla Cross. He attended Lockney Schools until the sixth grade when he moved to Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1975. He graduated Texas Tech in 1979 and Baylor Dental School in 1984. He worked for Dr. Abercrombie before buying Dr. Baldwin's practice in 1984. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he played drums for several years. He also played for several bands including Zachariah's Song and Texas in the Swing where he played at Branson, Missouri, for several years. Ricky is preceded in death by his mother Darla Cross and his sister Kellie Olson. He is survived by two daughters, Lyndsay Cross of Dallas and Morgan Castillo and husband Daniel of Wolfforth; his father, Marion Cross of Plainview; and two brothers, Patrick Cross of California and Curtis Cross of Arizona.
