Morgan B. Wireman, 69, of Rensselaer, passed away Saturday April 26, 2014 at the Jasper County Hospital.

Morgan was born Oct. 1, 1944 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the son of William and Francis (Puckett) Wireman.
Morgan moved to Indiana in his childhood where he attended the Wheatfield Public Schools. After high school, he served his country in the United States Army. He was skilled at many things but he mostly enjoyed his vocation as a carpenter for Local #1005. His other interests included gardening and fishing. He was proud of his large vegetable garden where he canned vegetables and shared his bounty with his family and many others. He also made delicious jams and jellies from a variety of fruits he raised. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at his favorite fishing hole in Mill Creek, Illinois.
Morgan is survived by his loving wife Arlene Fay Jones whom he married on April 7, 1979.
He is also survived by his loving children, Jimmy (Kim) Chops, Tommy (Junelle) Chops, Tina (Doug) Richie, Krissondra (Tammy) Wireman all of Rensselaer and Derreck Wireman of Indianapolis; brothers and sisters, Adam (Janet) Wireman of Lafayette, Farish (Josephine) Wireman, Martha (Dennis) Patton, Homer (Janice) Wireman, Bill (Linda) Wireman all of Rensselaer and Malva (Mark) Stevens of Francesville, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Jordan (Brittney, spouse) Kaitlin, Megan and James Chops, Morgan and Douglas Richie and Adrianna Saucedo; and one great-grandson, Easton Chops.
Friends may visit at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer on Tuesday, April 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Jackson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Chops officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Rensselaer with full military rites.
