Mary Frances Moore Lewis, age 87, of Kates Bay Highway, died Sunday, November 25, 2012 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Lewis was born February 22, 1925 in Horry County, the eldest of four daughters born to the late Clarence W. Moore and Mary Louise Lewis Moore. She attended Horry County Schools and graduated from Conway High in 1943. On September 1st of that year, she married Earl R. Lewis of Wampee. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Conway until her illness made attendance impossible. Mrs. Lewis was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was preceded in death in May by her husband of 66 years, Earl Lewis, and a son, Earl Rodney "Ronnie" Lewis.
Surviving are; her daughter, Frances Earle King of Conway; three grandchildren, Robyn Ward and Paul King both of Conway and Nicole King of Baltimore, MD; three great-grandchildren, Rodney Ward, Lee Ward and Dylan King; and one great - great grandchild, Isabella Ward; three sisters, Willa Moore Richardson, Peggy Lou Moore Williams, and Billie Moore Thompson all of Conway.
Mary Frances was loving and kind and will be greatly missed by many.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Guffey officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
