Schild, Leslie - Garner  
Leslie Jo Schild May 13, 1968 - August 28, 2015 Garner, NC Leslie Jo Schild, 47, died on August 28, 2015 at her residence in Garner, NC after a heroic battle with breast cancer. Leslie was born in Rock Hill SC on May 13, 1968, daughter of the late Joe and Delane Baucom of Monroe, NC and the daughter-in-law of the late Raymond and Jerrie Schild of Myrtle Beach, SC. She graduated from Rock Hill High School and received a degree in education from Winthrop University. Her teaching career began in Loris, SC at Daisy Elementary School. After moving to Garner, NC, her career was spent at Washington GT Magnet Elementary School where she was known and loved by students, parents, teachers and staff. She is survived by her husband, Larry Schild and their two children, Logan and Lily. She is also survived by her sisters Melanie (John) Hornsby, Kelly (Mark) Redman, brother-in-law Bryan (Susan) Schild and Kim Conness (James) along with several nieces and nephews. Leslie was passionate about life and lived it to it's fullest. She enjoyed traveling, experiencing new things and especially loved a good adventure. Leslie had a contagious laugh and an infectious smile that would brighten your day. She embraced celebrations of all types and was always surrounded by friends who loved her for her genuine, authentic qualities. She was fierce and courageous while fighting this disease and battled as hard as anyone could battle. Her courage was an inspiration to so many. Leslie will be missed more than words can express by her family and friends who loved her so deeply. The Schild family would like to thank all of the nurses and caregivers at Duke and Chapel Hill Cancer Centers who treated Leslie with exceptional skill and empathy throughout her illness. They extend a heartfelt thank you to Transitions LifeCare and Home Instead. We are also thankful for amazing friends who stood by us during the many years of this battle. Words are inadequate to express our gratitude. A celebration of life will be held at Holland's United Methodist Church, 9433 Ten-Ten Road, Raleigh, NC on September 6, 2015 at 2pm. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Attention Garner's Relay for Life in honor of Leslie Schild, 8300 Health Park Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615 or to Trojan Athletic Club, Garner Magnet High School in honor of Leslie Schild, PO Box 594, Garner NC 27529.

Scholl, Jerry Lee - Little River  
Jerry Lee Scholl Little River Jerry Lee Scholl, 81, passed away at home on Monday, August 24, 2015. Jerry was born December 25, 1933, the eldest of three sons, to the late Leo and Lela Bruce Scholl in Scotland County, North Carolina. He graduated from Hamlet High School in 1952 where he met the love of his life, Alice Bassinger. Jerry and Alice were married June 19th, 1954 and were married for 56 years until her death on March 6, 2011. After serving in the Navy from 1952 until his Honorable Discharge in 1956, Jerry attended Bowling Green Business University, graduating in1960 with a BS in Accounting and Business Administration. After settling in Taylors, SC, he built and operated International Storage Company and Triple S Enterprise, both family businesses, until his retirement in 1998. Jerry was a Master Mason in the Wade Hampton Lodge, a member of both York Rite and Scottish Rite and a dedicated Noble of the Hejaz Temple. As a Shriner, Jerry served as an enthusiastic member of many units including the Greeters, Tri-Sports, and Hillbillies and spent several years as the Temple Treasurer. Alice and Jerry enjoyed travelling with their friends in the Shrine and often shared stories of their adventures, some of which were actually true. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his boat, fishing, feeding his birds and growing tomatoes. Jerry is survived by his children and grandchildren, LeeAnn Floss (Mark), Jennifer Floss, and Jonathan Floss of Charleston; Bruce Scholl, Brittney Hester (Robert), and Brandy Scholl of Greenville; Sandy Gasser (Johnny), Meghan Gasser, Caroline Gasser, and Jake Gasser of Columbia, his sister-in-law, Helen Scholl, of Hamlet, NC, and brother, Joe Scholl and wife, Sylvia, of Raleigh, NC; and cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Joan O'Donnell, Bob Ward and Helen Scholl for their many years of friendship and care. Friends and family are invited to celebrate and remember Jerry's life Saturday, August 29th from 4pm-6pm at the Coquina Harbour Club House, 4440 Nassau Court, Little River, SC. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. A guestbook is available at Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River/North Myrtle Beach is serving the family.

Sears, Thomas  
Thomas W. Sears Murrells Inlet Thomas W. "Tommy" Sears, age 68, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Born in Sumter, SC, Tommy was a son of the late Arlie Mae and John F. Sears. He was a US Army National Guard Veteran. Tommy was also the Area Manager of Verizon (formerly GTE) and retired in November 2003. He was a member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church and had a loyal companion in both "P-Nut" and grand dog "Annabelle". Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Pat Sears; a son Ryan Sears and his wife Shalissa of Myrtle Beach; a daughter LeeAnne Sears of Murrells Inlet; two grandchildren Isabella and Jake and a brother John Sears and his wife Randy of Myrtle Beach. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church, Pawleys Island. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Father Pat's Lunch Kitchen, 1633 Waverly Rd, Pawleys Island, SC 29585, Tidelands Hospice, 2591 Fraser St, Georgetown, SC 29440 or the charity of your choice. Kimberly A. Smallwood March 21, 1962-August 25, 2015 North Myrtle Beach Kimberly A. Smallwood, 53, passed away August 25, 2015. She was born March 21, 1962 in N. Myrtle Beach, SC. Kimberly was employed by the Dollar General Store in Windy Hill. Survivors include her mother, Eleanor Smallwood; 2 sons, Anthony Smallwood (Heather), Robert Johnson; 1 daughter, Amanda Johnson; 1 grandson, Tyler Smallwood; 1 brother, James T. Smallwood (Diane); 1 sister, Shirley Baldwin (David); 1 niece, Crystal Saunders. She is predeceased by her father, James Thomas Smallwood, Sr. and a nephew, Jamie Brooks Smallwood. Sneska, Anthony - Carolina Shores  
Anthony M. "Tony" Sneska Carolina Shores 75, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in the SECU Lower Cape Fear Hospice. Born in Brooklyn, NY on February 26, 1940, he was the son of the late Anthony M. and Anne Serzanin Sneska. Tony was a member of St. Brendan's Catholic Church, Shallotte, NC was retired from the Social Security Administration, and was US Army veteran. He was a civic minded gentleman and was involved in several clubs in Carolina Shores including The American Legion of Calabash, the Hole in One Club of Carolina Shores Country Club and the Knights of Columbus Lady of Our Rosary Council # 9039. Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy Gail Sneska; a sister, Mary Ann Ferri and husband Richard; children, Carolyn Fitzberger and husband David, Anthony R. Sneska and wife Francine, James A. Sneska and wife Carey, Diane Spicer and husband Daniel; grandchildren, Hannah Sneska, Anthony J. Sneska, Casey Fitzberger, Jonathan Fitzberger, Abigail Sneska, Molly Sneska, Megyn Spicer and Landon Spicer. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 6, 2015 in the chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte with Deacon Richard Ferri officiating.
