Jackson Lorain Baker July 08, 1938 - December 16, 2014 Myrtle Beach Jackson Lorain Baker 76, died on December 16, 2014. Mr. Baker was born in Dailey, WV to Lyndell and Amanda Baker. He was predeceased by a brother Lyndell Baker of MD and a sister Mary Francis Ritter of NY. Jack served in the US Airforce and was retired from the Federal Reserve. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Murrells Inlet, SC and Culpeper, VA. Survivers include his ex-wife Ruby Baker of Culpeper Va and their 3 sons; Rick Baker of Fredericksburg, VA, Mike Baker of Culpeper, VA and Kevin Baker (Kellie) of Culpeper, VA. Grandchildren Austin, Evan, Matthew Baker of Fredericksburg, VA and Griffin and Raegan Baker of Culpeper, Va;. Brothers Bill Baker of Port Richey, FL and Bob Baker of Denver, Co and sister Nancy Hamrick of Daley, WV. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 6:00 PM at Island Green Clubhouse. Bardsley, James - Clinton  
Dr. James J. Bardsley December 22, 1931 - December 16, 2014 Clinton, SC Dateline - Clinton, SC James J. Bardsley, Ph.D., passed away peacefully on December 16, 2014 with his family by his side. Born December 22, 1931, he was predeceased by his wife of fifty years, Marilyn Butts Bardsley; his parents, John Wallace Sr. and Josephine Hartsock Bardsley; and his brother and sister-in-law, John Wallace Jr. and Sara Jo Bardsley. A 1950 graduate of Appalachia High School, Dr. Bardsley received a B.S. in Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Rochester. He later went on to earn his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Syracuse University. His career spanned from his early days as a ceramic engineer at Pfaulder to Vice President of manufacturing at Syroco. Dr. Bardsley retired as Professor Emeritus and chair of Business Administration and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Post-retirement, Dr. Bardsley continued to consult professionally with various manufacturing plants in the Myrtle Beach, SC area on quality control. He served his country in the United States Army from 1956 - 1958 during which he was stationed mainly in Germany. Dr. Bardsley was a member of many organizations related to his education, career, and personal interests including: Tau Beta Pi (Engineering National Honor Society), Beta Gamma Sigma (Business National Honor Society), Phi Beta Lambda (Nation Business Education Society), National Institute of Ceramic Engineers, American Ceramic Society, Audubon Society, Waccamaw Audubon Society, and the Methodist Church. Dr. Bardsley was very active in the community, volunteering as a youth baseball coach for the Optimist League in Camillus, NY for nearly a decade. His hobbies and interests included bird watching, golfing, fishing, cross country skiing, and cheering for the Hokies and the Syracuse Orange during basketball season. Dr. Bardsley is survived by his daughter, Laura Bardsley Houck of Clinton SC; son, James F. Bardsley of Charleston SC; four grandchildren, Madeline Houck Smith, James E. Bardsley, Jason A. Bardsley, and Jordan S. Bardsley; niece, Donna Bardsley of Kingsport TN; and nephew, John Bardsley of Anchorage Alaska. Celebration of Life services will be held December 27, 2014, 3:00pm, at Presbyterian Home, 801 Musgrove Street, Clinton, SC 29325 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Laurens County, 1304 Springdale Drive, Clinton, SC 29325. Sandra L. Beauchemin Murrells Inlet, SC Sandra L Beauchemin passed away December 16, 2014 at home, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Jim Beauchemin of Murrells Inlet; two sons, Luther H. Nelson (Lee) and Gary P. Nelson (Kim), both of Ludlow MA; step-daughter, Lisa Storey of Easthampton MA; grandchildren, Austin, Wes, Parker, Alanah and Makayla Nelson, all of Ludlow MA; step-grandchildren, Joe, Alyssa, and Sarah Storey, all of Easthampton, MA; great grandchildren, Olivia and Marah; and many loving friends and family. Braddock, Virginia - Murrells Inlet  
Virginia Braddock March 30, 1933 - December 15, 2014 Murrells Inlet, SC Virginia Braddock, 81, of Murrells Inlet, SC died on Monday, December 15, 2014. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 2PM in the Chapel of Kistler Hardee Funeral Home of Darlington. Entombment will follow at Darlington Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at 1PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the funeral home. Mrs. Braddock was born in Chester, SC. She was raised by her Uncle and Aunt, Robert and Ethel Boulware. She was a member of the Murrells Inlet Church of God where she was always very involved with the youth program. She was also instrumental in the building of the future Youth Center at the church. Surviving is her husband, Mallard "Duck" Braddock; two grand-children, Michael and Matthew Reeves; three great grand-children, Pressley, David and Timothy Reeves; two great, great grand-children, Trent Smith and Brittney Reeves; and her puppy and body guard, Mr. Rocky. She was preceded in death by her sons, Roy Braddock, Robert Braddock and Frank Braddock and her daughter, Maryland Reeves.
