Kellar Eugene Lee October 1, 1950 - June 22, 2016 Shallotte, NC Kellar Eugene Lee, age 65, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lee was born in Dillon, SC, a son of the late Kellar and Maggie Ruth Brown Lee. He was a member of Old Shallotte Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Kathy Graham Lee; and his daughter, Kellie Lee Graham (Darrell) of Loris. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Rory Thigpen and Rev. Darrell Graham officiating. Walter Pope Maharay December 10, 1922 - June 26, 2016 North Myrtle Beach In the early morning hours of June 26, 2016, Walter Pope Maharay, 93, left this world for a better one. Born on December 10, 1922 in Newburgh, NY, he was the son of the late Walter V. and Ruth Matthews Maharay. Walt is survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris T. Maharay; son, Walter F. Maharay (Carol); granddaughters, Kelly Colwell (Jeremy), Kristy Duenwald (Matt); great grandchildren, Kinsley and Kason Colwell, Avery and Bennett Duenwald; sister, Ethel Nuccitelli, sister-in-law, Jean Trolsen, both of Myrtle Beach; nephews Dan Marsh and Ric Trolsen; and loving supporter and caregiver, Joyce Wilson. He is predeceased by his sister, Louise Sgro and brother William Maharay. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Disabled Veterans Association, DAV-Chapter 30, P.O. Box 30637, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588 or Macular Degeneration Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 531313, Henderson, NV 89053. Donna Martin April 25, 1956 - June 26, 2016 Aynor Donna Martin, 60, died Sunday June 26, 2016 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. She was born April 25, 1956 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Wayne and Wilma Hughes Sellars. Ms. Martin is survived by two children, Shawn Martin (Christy) and Christy Johnson (Rodney) both of Aynor; two brothers, Wayne Sellars and Charles Sellars both of NC; two sisters, Jackie Grice and Cynthia Sellars both of NC; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held 2pm Wednesday June 29, 2016 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Gregg Cannon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. McCarn, Patricia - Murrells Inlet  
Patricia Pearson McCarn Murrells Inlet Patricia "Pat" McCarn died on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the age of 82, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Marion, S.C. to the late Zack and Thelma Pearson. She graduated from Marion High School and Winthrop College, after which she was employed with the law firms of Kennedy, Kennedy & Hickman, P.A. and Sanders & Walker, P.A. in Charlotte, N.C. While working in the Law Building she met her husband-to-be Robert, who was employed with The American Trust Bank, also located in the Law Building, and they were married in 1956. They have one daughter, Patricia Kay Hill of Murrells Inlet, S.C. Pat became a member of E.S.A International in the early 1960's which is an organization of professional women in support of St. Judes Hospital. She attended several national conferences of E.S.A and was very proud of meeting with Danny Thomas, founder of St. Judes. In 1974, she served as North Carolina State President of E.S.A. She continued to relish the many close friends made through E.S.A. over the past 50 plus years. In 1967, she and Robert moved to Durham, N.C., where she was employed with the law firm of Edwards and Manson, P.A, and later was employed with Plaza Associates, Inc. In 1980, she and Robert moved to Boca Raton, Fl., where she was employed with Multivest, Inc. in Ft. Lauderdale as Director of Human Resources. After retiring in 1986, she enjoyed serving as unofficial "Nanny" for 5 years to the children of close friends Doug and Jan Bohner - Whitney, Paige and Parker. In 2001, she and Robert moved to Murrells Inlet, S. C., where they have resided in the Indigo Creek Plantation community. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brother Zack Pearson and wife Harriett of Lima, Ohio; brother Ronnie Pearson and wife Pat of Harlem, Ga.; and sister Thelma Pearson Norris of New Mexico. She is survived by her husband Robert and daughter Patricia Kay Hill of Murrells Inlet, S.C., sister-in-law Janet Threatt of Wallace, N.C., brother-in-law Larry McCarn and wife Frances of Belmont, N.C., brother-in-law Terry McCarn and wife Pat of Lowell, N.C., sister-in-law Brenda Roberts of Dallas, NC., and cousin Betty Herndon of Murrells Inlet, S.C. and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Richardson Funeral Home in Marion, S. C. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 27, 2016 at the funeral home, burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00-12:00 PM at the funeral home. LaVinna J. Moser October 7, 1932 - May 30, 2016 Garden City LaVinna J. Moser, 83, Jensen Mobile Home Park, Garden City, South Carolina and formerly from Ohio, peacefully became a heavenly angel just after sunset on Memorial Day, May 30, 2016, at the home of her loving daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Bruce Sliney of Mansfield, Ohio. Besides her daughter, Julie, Lavinna is also survived by her husband of 47 years, Raymond D. Moser, who resides in Garden City, SC. Osgood, Dorothy E.  
Dorothy E. Osgood Myrtle Beach Dorothy E. Osgood, age 88, passed away in her sleep at her and her daughters home on June 26, 2016 in Myrtle Beach, SC. She now joins the love of her life SFC Robert F. Osgood, Jr. and many family members including one of her sons Dean F. Gregory. Dorothy lived an exemplary life by giving and caring for others as a nurse for 32 years. She was born in Newport, NH to Fred and Cornelia Rollins of Sunapee, NH where she and two brothers and one sister lived. Her treasured accomplishments were watching her children and grandchildren grow into who they have become today. She leaves behind a brother, Lt. Col. Sherman G. Rollins of El Paso, TX; her sons and daughter-in-laws, Keith and Susan Gregory of Newport, NH and Michael and Lilly Osgood of Gordonsville, VA; and a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Len Lewis of Myrtle Beach, SC. Dorothy leaves behind with great pride four grandchildren, Tonya, Sarah, Victoria, and Brian; three great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild along with several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Mrs. Osgood's care taker Mark Cooper for caring for her while Ms. Lewis worked. Burial services will be held at a later time at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA where she will rest with her husband Robert F. He was born December 14, 1931 in Myrtle Beach, SC, the son of the late Robert McKeever and Mary Alice Outlaw Owens. Mr. Owens was a veteran of the US Navy. He was the founder/Owner of Owens Steel and Machine Works, Inc. Survivors include: one son, Mike Owens and wife, Jackie of Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Jan Owens of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren, Brandon Mishoe, Andrea Jollie, Joanna Babbitt, and Michael Owens; four great-grandchildren, Preston and William Mishoe, Owen and Madilynn Babbitt. Pettit, Carol - Myrtle Beach  
Carol Lou Pettit November 22,1944-June 26, 2016 Myrtle Beach, SC Carol Pettit, 71, of Myrtle Beach, SC died Sunday, June 26, 2016 after her long battle with breast cancer. Carol "Linnartz" was born November 22, 1944 in Tonkawa Oklahoma. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and then moved Alexandria, VA to begin her adventurous career in the Airline industry. Carol enjoyed 37 years in the following positions with the airlines: 3 years as a Stewardess with Eastern Airlines, 16 years in general accounting with USAir, and 21 years as a Flight Attendant with USAirways. She retired at the age of 62 and moved to Myrtle Beach, SC. Carol is survived by her long-time love and soulmate, Star Elton, her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Deena and Michael Pagliaro, her two grandsons, Jake and Luke (who called her Mimi). She is also survived by her mother, Roberta Cain, sister Joyce Hughes, brother Bill Linnartz, many nieces and nephews, along with several close friends she had the pleasure of knowing throughout her life. We kindly ask that you please do not send flowers. A private celebration of life will be held at her home.

Sherman, Marlin - Murrells Inlet  
Marlin Sidney Sherman Murrells Inlet Marlin Sidney Sherman passed away July 26, 2016 at his home in Murrells Inlet, SC. Born in Johnstown, PA, Marlin was a long time resident of Augusta. He retired to Murrells Inlet, SC 19 years ago, working at the Myrtle Beach and Golf resort and performing volunteer work with United Way and the Boys Club. Marlin attended schools in West Virginia, first at Concord College, then graduating from the University of Charleston. Afterwards, he served with the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1951 to 1954, and is a member of the VFW and American Legion. He had a long career in Social Services, working for the United Way in Anderson, South Carolina, Waukegan, Illinois and Augusta. Marlin is survived by his wife Betty, as well as his four sons Michael (Marie) of Avignon, France, Mark (Jenifer) of Pawleys Island, SC, Matthew (Charlotte) of Evans, GA, John (Michele) of Appling, GA and daughter Karin of North Augusta, SC. He is also survived by six loving grandchildren Andrew, Brandon, Cadee, Daniel, Matthew and William.
