Charles Rexford Cook
June 14, 1929 - November 17, 2013

Charles Rexford Cook, 84, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 in Conway, SC. Rex formerly lived in Folly Beach, but had been a resident of Myrtle Beach for the past two years.
Born June 14, 1929 in Kingstree, SC, he was a son of the late John Earle and Mary Esther McCants Cook. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Ronald Cook and sisters, Jacqueline Cook Harper and Lynn Cook Hewitt.
Rex was a veteran of the armed services. He was an avid painter, poet and fisherman. He especially enjoyed the views of Lake Moultrie.
Survivors include his siblings, Virginia Cook LeMaster of Atlanta, GA and Ann Cook Tippins of Myrtle Beach; numerous nieces and nephews, including Dr. Jim Tippins (Louanne) and great nephew, James Moore Tippins of Murrells Inlet, SC.
A graveside memorial service will be held 12:00 noon, Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston, SC.
