Dorothy Elizabeth Murray Parks, age 93, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013.
Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the only child of the late Thomas and Elizabeth McLaughlin. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Wade Murray and her second husband, Alfred Perrie Parks.
Surviving are two sons, Paul Murray of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mark Murray and wife Susan of Eldersburg, MD; two grandchildren, Brad Murray and wife Amy and Amy Price and husband Todd and great grandson Jacob Drews. Also surviving are stepchildren Harry Parks and wife Lynda of Palm Bay, FL, and Rochelle Keen and husband Eddie of Edgewater, MD and their families.
Dot was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Woman's Auxiliary of The American Legion Post 178 and VFW Post 10420. The family matriarch, she was in her element when surrounded by family and friends and was an avid line dancer from the moment she arrived in Myrtle Beach almost twenty years ago.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3PM Wednesday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
Her cremated remains will then be taken to Eldersburg, MD where arrangements are being finalized.
