Conway
Evelyn Hendrick Capps, 91, wife of the late Arthur William Capps, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Conway Manor.
Mrs. Capps was born in Conway, a daughter of the late William Franklin and Martha Singleton Capps. She was a lifelong member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and she served on the F.H.A. Board for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Capps was predeceased by one sister, Alice Gasque; and two brothers, Mark Hendrick and Leigh Hendrick.
The family would like to thank the Dr. John Wilson, Jr. and the staff of Conway Manor and Mrs. Mildred Cook for their loving care of Mrs. Capps.
Surviving are one daughter, Vivian Capps Brown of Conway; two grandchildren, Charlie Brown and his wife, Amy, of Conway and Jo Nell Koch and her husband, Tim and their son, David, of Myrtle Beach; one great-granddaughter, Abbey Brown; a special niece, Billie Faye Capps; and son-in-law, Everette Brown.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Swilley and Rev. Billy Hackett officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2011 at the funeral home.

Vivian and family. I just learned of your Mother's passing. Marvin and I have been out of town for a month or so. I am so glad I got to know her when we were staying in P am's old trailer. I visited her often. She was a wanderful woman whom I came to love. We can rejoice in the fact that one day we will be reunited with our family. Davine and Marvin Edwards

Dear Vivian and Family,
Sorry to hear about Mrs. Evelyn She was an amazing person (she and your daddy). They were always together before he passed, and even after he passed, she still visited! God blessed her with a long life, but no matter the age, you will miss her. May God grant the extra strength and peace you need during the days ahead.
