Flossie E. Hardee Strickland
Flossie Eloise Hardee Strickland passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Emmett Strickland. Flossie was born in Loris, SC to Manassas and Arrie Hardee. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Payne and three brothers, Otto Hardee, Leo Hardee and Willie Hardee.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy Lindsay of Savannah, GA, Nancy and husband Richard Drakos of Myrtle Beach, SC and Tammy and husband Dan Sennema of Myrtle Beach, SC. She had four grandchildren, Richard and Jordan Drakos, Amanda and husband Brandon Love and Matthew Lindsay. She had one great-grandchild, Marissa Love who was the absolute joy of her life. She is also survived by five sisters, Ruby Blanton, Lottie Royals, Flodia Hardee, Sadie Harrelson and Lily Maye Blanton. She had three sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Menger, Susie Grega and Glenda Strickland and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to her nurse, Elizabeth and her aide, Karen from Incare Hospice for their gentle, loving care in her last days.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. Burial will follow at Ocean Woods Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, April 19, 2013 at the funeral home.
