Helen E. Skirving
Helen Estelle Skirving age 84, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at Waccamaw Community Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Columbia, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Beulah and Harry E. Bonnoitt, Sr. Helen enjoyed fishing on the prier, gardening and the beach. She loved spending time with her family, socializing and helping others. She was an advocate of veterans and Wounded Warriors. She was preceded in death by her husband John L. Skirving and a daughter, Gaye A. Dyson.
Survivors include a daughter, Leigh DeVilbiss of Murrells Inlet; grandchildren, Chad Holley, Jason Jeffords, McKinley DeVilbiss, Jr., Laura (Gary) Smith, Matt Dyson, Joe Dyson (Kate McAndrew) and Rebecca (Matt) West; great grandchildren, Holly and Craig Smith and Madeline and Conner West; brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Bonnoitt and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bonnoitt, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date.
