J. Watson Obituary

LONGS | Mr. J. Lee ''Bo'' Watson, 72, died Friday, September 18, 2009 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center following an illness.

Mr. Watson was born May 13, 1937 in Conway, South Carolina to Mr. Parker Ayers Watson and Mrs. Mazie Ellen Chestnut Watson. Mr. Watson retired as a heavy equipment operator, and was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Watson of Longs; his daughter, Ginger Lee McGrath and husband, David, of Williamsburg, Va.; two grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth McGrath and Matthew Parker McGrath; two brothers, Reynolds Watson and wife, Vonnie, of Myrtle Beach, and Archie Watson and wife, Bonnie, of Burleson, Texas; brother-in-law, Bill Wright of Dade City, Fla.; sister-in-law, Murna Alsup of Conway; 25 nieces and nephews; and 26 grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Mr. Watson was predeceased by his parents; and one brother, Elroy Watson.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 at Buck Creek Cemetery. Pastor Larry Allen and the Rev. Bill Wines will officiate services. Visitation will be held from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Hardwick Funeral Home.
