Frances Thomason Anderson Hart
Frances Thomason Anderson Hart, age 103, widow of Marion Sims Hart died Friday, March 21, 2014 at her home.
Born in Greenwood County, SC on November 5, 1910, she was known as Frank or Frankie to family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Carson Anderson and Nannie Thomason Anderson of Greenwood County, SC. Mrs. Hart graduated from Ninety Six High School and Lander College. She then began her twenty-seven years as a teacher in the elementary school system of the state. Her marriage brought her to Conway, SC, where she became a homemaker, teacher and a faithful member of the First United Methodist Sunday School and Church, where she was a member for nearly 70 years. Her home was always open to family and friends. Special among those were the members of her Church Circle, her Garden Club and the Wednesday Bridge Club. Death took her twin sister, Mary Motte Herbert, in 2009 at age 98 and her older sister Rebecca Callcott in 2014 at age 104. She was also predeceased by brothers, Judge J. Perrin Anderson and Thomas Carson Anderson, Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Sims Hart Gasque (Pratt) of Conway and a son Robert Lide Hart (Jane) of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, James Aldrich Wyman Rembert, Jr., Charles Marion Hart and Sarah Frances Hart Black (Alan); one sister, Nancy Self of Columbia, SC and numerous nieces and nephews whose lives added joy and special meaning to her life.
A private graveside service will be held in Darlington, SC. No visitation is planned.
