Dora Jane Johnston
July 4, 1948 - April 27, 2014
Dora J. Self Johnston, 65, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Agape Senior of Conway surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 4, 1948 in Georgetown S.C. a daughter of the late William Nathan and Hulda Jane Davis Self.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Lou Cashion, Jeanette Barnes and Azilee Swails and one brother, Ralph Self.
Mrs. Johnston was a very high spirited person who loved to pick and joke with people. She loved her family very much and was a compassionate person. She retired from Wal-Mart after serving twenty-five years. Dora was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Johnston is survived by her husband, Ronnie Johnston of the home; two sons, Michael Pope and William Johnston both of Conway; one brother, Bobby Self (Frances) of Georgetown; four sisters, Sarah Jordan of Andrews, Ruby Henry and Pearl Goude both of Georgetown and Lena Moore of Delco N.C.; three grandchildren, Megan Pope, Jessica Shultzaberger and Leslie Pardue; one great-granddaughter, Lexi Pardue.
The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Services Monday, April 28, 2014 from 6pm until 8pm.
Funeral Services will be held 3pm Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
