Mrs. Clare M. Hess passed away quietly at Waccamaw Community Hospital in the early morning hours of June 8, 2014. Clare was born August 10, 1920 to parents Frank and Julia (Jones) Montooth of Trenton, NJ. Clare graduated from Trenton Central High School and Rider College in Lawrenceville, NJ with an Associate Degree in Executive Office Management.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Albert Hess, brother, Frank Montooth and sister Mary Petrino.
Survivors include four sons, William and Robert Dansbury both of Newtown, PA, Twins Matthew (& Veronique) Dansbury of Fayetteville, NC and Michael (&Holly) Dansbury of Bolton Landing, NY, five grandchildren and two great-grand daughters.
Clare will be missed very much, but she left a part of her spirit in each and every one of us. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring person.
She was an active member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder. In her later years, she volunteered for Meals on Wheels, local animal shelters and Hospice care.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Trinity Presbyterian Church 2061 Glenn's Bay Rd, Surfside Beach, SC 29575.
