Dorothy Mays Rosier, 87, died Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Scalabrini Villa Health Care Center in North Kingstown, RI. She was the wife of the late Charles Evans "Bill" Rosier.
A graveside service will begin 11 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014, at New Freedom Cemetery, New Freedom, PA with the Rev. Dr. Peggy Click officiating.
She was born August 31, 1926, in New Freedom, PA a daughter of the late Daniel Webster and Grace Viola (Miller) Mays.
Formerly of New Freedom, PA, Roanoke, Va., and Murrells Inlet, SC. Dorothy was a member of the New Freedom High School Class of 1944. She was a member of Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, and a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Freedom, PA.
She is survived by daughters, Carol Ann Russek and her husband Steven of Midlothian, Va., and Rebecca L. Rosier and her husband Col. Daniel Schaffer of East Greenwich, R.I.; brother, Daniel Jesse Mays of Glen Rock, PA; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her late husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Jo Diane Erwin; and sisters, Mary Eisensmith and Edna Boyer.
