William G. Maus

William George Maus, 65, died at his home on Thursday, February 27, 2014 following an extended illness.
Mr. Maus was born November 28, 1948 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Edwin B. and Margaret (Williams) Maus.
Mr. Maus graduated from Warren G. Harding High School and retired after 22 years of service from Alcan Aluminum in Warren, Ohio. He moved to Myrtle Beach South Carolina in 1987 and was also retired from McLane Southeast where he was employed as a regional route supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Georgette M. (Lyman) Maus of Pawleys Island, SC whom he married in 1987; his son, William J. Maus (Anne); and his daughter Lisa A. Eubank (Phillip) both of Cortland, Ohio; three grandchildren, Nicholas Hillier, William Maus and Michaela-Anne Maus; he is also survived by his sister, Carol Jean (Robert) Brady and brother, Edwin B. (Marla) Maus both of Warren, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Maus was very involved in sports, playing in several baseball, softball and bowling leagues in Ohio. During his time in South Carolina he was an avid golfer and enjoyed two holes-in-one. He was also a football fan, cheering for the Ohio State University Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
At Mr. Maus's request, there will be no services held.
