Laura S. Harmon Cunningham, 51, of Greenwood, formerly of Trimble County, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.
She was born Feb. 24, 1966, in Carrollton, Ky. She was a 1984 graduate of Center Grove High School and attended IUPUI. She had been a Service Representative at Indiana Gas Company later becoming Vectren for eight years. She was hard working, enjoyed reading, and in her young life, she enjoyed running around the family farm/golf course in Bedford, Ky. with her sister and cousins. As Laura's health began to decline, she loved connecting with friends and family on Facebook. Family was very important to her, as were her four-legged pets, Laura loved her late dogs Mickey and Sophie. She was baptized in a small creek in August of 2016. She loved the Lord and looked forward to the day she could run with Jesus!
Survivors include her two sons Clay K. Baker (Jordyn) and Alec M. Cunningham both of Greenwood; her mother Mary Jane Stark Howlett (Doug) of Greenwood; father Mike Harmon (Sandy) of Greenville, Ind.; a sister Beth Meyer (John) of Greenwood, and a niece Sydney Meyer of Greenwood and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Hubert and Lola Stark and Cecil and Gracie Harmon.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, at Stones Crossing Church, 7000 West Stones Crossing Road in Greenwood, with the Revs. David Joseph and Scott Luck officiating. Friends may call Friday, Jan. 26, from 4-7 p.m. at the church.
