Nancy Butler Munier, age 90, of Milton entered this life on September 14, 1927, in Trimble County, Ky. She was the loving daughter of the late Mark C. Butler, Sr. and Minnie Snyder Butler. Nancy graduated from Milton High School in 1945 and attended the Bryant Stratton College in Louisville, Ky. obtaining a secretarial business degree. She was a faithful member of the Mt. Byrd Christian Church of which her family was founding members. She was united in marriage to Leroy Munier on August 23, 1950, in Milton at the Mt. Byrd Christian Church. This union of nearly 68 years was blessed with two children, Suzanne and Mark. Nancy worked early in life for the ASCS Office in Trimble County and the Trimble County School System as a secretary and school aide. She retired after 27 years from the Kentucky Cabinet of Human Resources, Department of Social Insurance, serving as the clerical secretary for Trimble County. She loved cooking, working puzzles, crocheting, and knitting. Nancy was an avid University of Kentucky fan, a devoted wife, loving mom, grandma and great grandma (Bacca). Nancy passed from this life on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at 10:05 a.m. at Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation in Vevay, Ind.
Nancy will be missed by her loving husband of 68 years, Leroy Munier of Milton; her loving daughter, Suzanne Raker and her husband, Edgar of Carrollton, Ky.; her loving son, Mark Munier of Milton; her loving sister, Louise Butler Hoffman of Milton; her loving brother-in-law, Kearney (Ruth) Johnson of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., her loving grandchildren, Stephanie (Matt) Wallace, Matthew (Ericia) Louden, and Bretani (Sean) Wiseman; her adoring great-grandchildren, Haley, Michael, Ryan, Kiri, Elon and Linux; her loving step-grandchildren, Adam (Trina) Raker and Jason (Jody) Raker; her loving step-great-grandchildren, Roby, Ansley, Jayden, Jordyn and Jude; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Mark C. Butler, Sr.; her mother, Minnie Snyder Butler; her brothers, Mark C. (Mary Lee) Butler, Benjamin J. (Ruth) Butler, and Harold R. (Geneva) Butler, her brother-in-law, Charles Louis (Mary Ellen) Munier, her sisters-in-law, Kathryn L. Munier (Bud) Holt and Elizabeth 'Betty' Munier (John) Cooke; her brother in law, Maurice O. Hoffman; and sister-in-law, Lillie Johnson.
