Thurman Swindall, Jr., 69, of Milton, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Norton Hosparus Health Care in Louisville, Ky. He was born on July 23, 1943 in West Virginia the son of Thurman Swindall, Sr. and Rosa Belle Jesse Swindall.
He is survived by his wife Ranee whom he married July 22, 1997, two daughters, Dena Napier of Shelbyville, In. and Candy Boggs of Milton, one son, Thurman Swindall, III of North Vernon, Ind., one stepson, Rick Dial of North Vernon, Ind., four sisters, Dee Sullivan and Laura Swindall, both of North Vernon, Ind., Patsy Ashman Howard and Lillian Swindall, both of Butlerville, Ind., two brothers, Eddie Swindall of North Vernon, Ind. and Van Swindall of Indianapolis, Ind. and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters Katherine Swindall and Caroline Swindall, two brothers Charles Swindall and Bobby Swindall and his parents.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. at the Milton United Methodist Church with burial in Moffett Cemetery. Visitation will be today, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church and 10 a.m. on Thursday until the service.
Wood-Oakley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may go to the Milton Methodist Church Building Fund or Hosparus of Louisville. Envelopes will be available at the church.
