Elva O. Rodriguez 82, of Midland, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ and her beloved family on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Hospice House in Odessa, TX. She was born on January 16, 1930 in Presidio, TX to the late Marcelo Ochoa and Maria Dominguez Ochoa. Elva was raised and educated in Presidio. She met and married the late Ramon Rodriguez on June 16, 1952. Elva enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was very dedicated to her loving children. Elva was an active member of Calvario United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Spouse: Ramon Rodriguez, Son: Ramon Rodriguez Jr., granddaughter: Julie Ann Jimenez, two brothers: Manuel Ochoa and Remijio Ochoa, and two sisters: Carmen Ramos and Esperanza Ochoa Pando. Elva leaves behind to cherish her memories her three sons: Joe Rodriguez and wife Ruth of Grand Prairie, TX, Orlando Rodriguez, and Louis Rodriguez both of Midland, TX; five daughters: Carolina Romano and husband Joe of Grand Prairie, TX, Martha Cano and husband Gilbert of Odessa, TX, Corina Cruz and husband Thomas of Arlington, TX, Leticia Rodriguez-Madrid and Alicia Ramos both of Midland, TX; one brother: Juan de Dios Ochoa of Lovington, NM; three sisters: Gloria Cabello of Lovington, NM, Graciela Rivas of Ojinaga Chih, MX, and Juana Grado of Chihuahua, Chih. Twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild. Numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and her loving pet Booboos. Pallbears will be her grandsons and nephew. A prayer service will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Chapel. Funeral Service is set for Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 11:00 am at Emmanuel Baptist Church 1800 Cherry Lane with Reverend Jose Jorkin officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
