Ruby Plumlee Obituary

Ruby Plumlee, 60, of Midland passed away Monday March 2, 2009 at the Hospice House in Odessa from a lengthy illness. Ruby was born on July 18, 1948 in Gober, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Dorothy Rose; a sister Leslie Provincio of Midland and 2 brothers Gaylen and Kalen Pelts of Okla.

She is survived by her husband Keith Plumlee Sr. of Midland; her daughter Laura Glasscock of Midland; her son Keith Plumlee Jr. of Midland and her daughter-in-law Brandi Plumlee of Midland. Ruby is also survived by 4 grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Keith III, Jimmy Chase, Derek and Kristen all of Midland; her sisters Etta Franks of Deer Park Washington, Rebecca Rose of Enid Ok, Jane Rose of Canada, Cynthia Brazel of Canton Tx, Belinda Sivley of Houston Tx, Pammy Rodriguez of Odessa Tx and Tammy Cano of Alamo Tx; 2 brothers Gary Rose of Enid Ok and Sean Rose of Odessa. She also had many nieces and nephews that she loved.

Ruby and Keith were married February 22, 1969 and spent over 40 wonderful years together. They met as teenagers and fell in love. They became best of friends and were the perfect team. They endured all of life's obstacles and loved each other unconditionally. They lived in Odessa where Ruby worked in a bank and Keith worked as a mechanic. They had a daughter Laura who was Ruby's sunshine and then in 1970 they had a son Keith Jr. whom Ruby loved so dearly. In 1988 they moved to Midland where Keith, after working many hard years, opened an oilfield engine repair business, where Ruby ran the office until her accident in 2001. Ruby truly loved all her family and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. Ruby was the most generous woman we will ever know. She took care of so many. She will be missed by so many and will be in our hearts forever.

The services will be Saturday March 7, 2009 at 2pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel 6801 E Business 20 Odessa Texas, with Larry Hood officiating. There will also be a viewing Friday March 6, 2009 from 6 pm till 8 pm in Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
