Curtis Chamness, 38, of Fort Worth, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Private services are planned. Curtis was born August 18, 1974, in Eastland, Texas. He attended schools in Cisco and Midland and attended Midland High School. He worked several years as a waiter for Red Lobster, and then for Wells Fargo. He was currently working for Outback Steakhouse in Euless. Curtis enjoyed working out and staying physically fit. He also had a passion for singing. He loved his family and loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews. There was always a special place in Curtis' heart for his two dogs, Perky and Peanutty. Survivors include mother and father, Rhonda and Mark Chamness of Midland; sister, Alissa Washington of Midland; brother, Archie Chamness and wife, Nicola of Wylie; sister, Stephanie Scott and husband, Jeff of Midland; sister, Tracie McLearen of Oklahoma; great grandmother, Mae Bisbee of Granbury; grandparents, Bobbie and Frances Bisbee of Midland, Shirley Milholland of Arkansas, and Doris Chamness of Fort Worth; numerous aunts and uncles; nieces, Layni Washington, Mayci Washington, Sierra Raven, Bayli Washington, and Torie Washington; and nephews, Robby Washington and Finley Scott; his dogs, Perky and Peanutty; other family members include, Donnie and Nora McLearen of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his great grandpa, Ray Bisbee and grandpa, Archie Chamness. The family suggests memorials be made to Permian Basin Suicide Prevention Coalition, 3301 Neely, Midland, TX 79703.
