Eloisa Chavez Martinez, 77 of Midland, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, May 20, 2013. She was born on December 24, 1935 in Midland, Texas to Erlinda Perez and the late Pedro Chavez. Eloisa was preceded in death by her father; her son, Pedro Chavez; her brother, Jimmy Chavez and her grandmother, Heraclia Roman. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Chavez of Huntsville, Alabama; four daughters, Catalina Chavez of Tukwila, Washington, Ana Dueñaz of Seattle, Washington, Diana King of Snohomish, Washington and Paula Chavez of Midland; her mother, Erlinda Perez of Midland; three brothers, Joe G. Chavez of Krum, Texas and Lupe Perez and Luis Perez both of Austin, Texas; four sisters, Elisa Zarate of Indio, California, Enedina Villa of Midland, Gloria Galvan of Midland and Frances Ramos of Garland, Texas. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Elisa Duran, Eric Chavez, Kristin Bautista, Roberto Dueñaz, and Perdo Dueñaz all of Seattle, Washington, Elena Chavez Fairchild of London, UK, Marisa King Nishimura of Lynnwood, Washington and Chad Chavez, Andrew Chavez and Matthew Chavez all of Huntsville, Alabama; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. A rosary will be held tonight at 7:00pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Chapel. Funeral mass is set for Friday, May 24, 2013 at 2:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment followed at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Funeral mass is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home, 2508 N. Big Spring St, Midland, Texas 79705.
