Mrs. Ileen Coughenour, 93, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, in Midland, Texas. She was born on October 22, 1918, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Edward and Lena Stuckey. Illeen was a wonderful and loving mother and a devoted wife. She married David Coughenour on August 2, 1944, and moved to the West Texas area in 1945. As an RN, she worked at the Mast Clinic, and later at Midland Memorial Hospital as charge nurse on 3 west for the 3-11 shift. The people she knew and the lives she touched through the good and the bad times were all special to her. Her faith has always sustained her. She is at rest now and we thank the Lord for her time with us. Mrs. Ileen Coughenour is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, David Coughenour and son, D. J. Coughenour of Midland, TX, and daughter, Deborah Coughenour of Austin, TX. The family would like to send many thanks to the Midland Hospice crew, Dr. Bartha, Angie, Tammie, and Linda for their loving care of our mother. The family would also like thank Art, Erica, Natalia, and Mary for the daily love and care of Mrs. Illeen Coughenour. Last but not least, thanks also go out to Robin, JoAnn, and the ladies of Poppy Flowers, for the wonderful care they gave. Memorial donations may be made in her name, to Hospice Midland, P.O. A funeral service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 13, 2012, at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity, 1412 W. Illinois, Midland, TX 79701.
