Margaret Epting Obituary

Church service for Margaret Epting, age 93, of Midland, formerly of Muleshoe, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Muleshoe with Dr. Stacy Conner officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetary under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home in Muleshoe. Mrs. Epting died Thursday, October 22, 2009 in Midland. She was born February 3, 1916 to Claude and Bertie (Walters) Black in Miami, Texas. She married Alton Epting in Muleshoe on December 23, 1934. He preceded her in death September 12, 2009, as well as her parents, one sister, and two brothers. Mrs. Epting had moved to Bailey County in 1933 from Wheeler, Texas. She was an LVN and worked for Muleshoe Area Medical Center from 1964 to 1991. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Muleshoe and was a member of Muleshoe Eastern Star. She was also a past Worthy Matron. Mrs. Epting is survived by two sons, L. Dwain Epting and his daughter LaShanda Epting of Midland and Michael Epting and his son Nicholas Epting of Mansfield, Texas.
