Simmons Mary Lillian Simmons passed away on February 6, 2013. She was born April 20, 1924 in Van Zandt County, Texas to Jimmie and Lizzie Lee Geddie. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sherman Simmons, and a brother, Leroy Geddie. She is survived by her five daughters, Betty Roberts and husband Travis of Houston, TX, Glynith Matlock of Brownwood, TX, Ann Hitch of Brownwood, TX, Linda Earl and husband James of Midland, TX, and Debra Cunningham and husband Danny of Midland, TX. Mary also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Mary always put others first. She loved fishing and being with her family. In her younger years, she was a great seamstress. She was also a vivid football fan. Funeral services will be on Monday, February 11 at 2pm at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Justice officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
