Vaughni Holliday Peacock passed away on February 10, 2013 at age 84. She was born to Fannie B. and John H. Holliday on November 11, 1928 in Bronte, TX. Vaughni graduated from Midland High School in 1946 and attended Hardin Simmons University. She was a real estate broker and co-owner of Real Estate Associates. She completed her education at UTPB in elementary education and taught kindergarten at Pease Elementary for ten years before retiring from ECISD. Teaching young children was among her greatest joys. She taught preschoolers in church throughout her life. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. Vaughni was preceded in death by her mother and father, five brothers, and one sister. She is survived by husband Douglas Peacock, daughter and son-in-law Denise Peacock Rives and Randy; grandchildren, Jennifer and Rob Bremerman, and Brandon and Jennifer Rives; great-grandchildren Kaden and Kohl Bremerman and Hunter, Riley, and Parker Rives; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family visitation will be from 5:00 7:00 Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Services will be at First Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 conducted by Dr. Jimmy Braswell. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
