Robert S. (Bob) Mayhall, 85, of Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home in Big Spring, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Pase, officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Brad Cemetery in Strawn, TX. Robert was born January 25, 1928 in Marathon, TX to Clora (Slemmons) and Fred Mayhall. He married Marion Brandt on January 17, 1948. He served in the United States Marines from 1946 to 1948 in World War II, and was recalled from 1950 to 1951 to serve in the Korean Conflict. He worked as a district pipeline gauger for Texas-New Mexico Pipeline. He was loyal to this company for 46 1/2 years, retiring in the late 1980s. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Survivors include wife, Marion Mayhall of Midland; niece, Jean Ryan of Mineral Wells, TX; and long time friends, Robert, Wanda and Ronnie Jones.
