Dad wore many hats during his life, from The Voice of North County to Pop Warner coach to High School football announcer to Santa Claus for his kids and many grandchildren. He was a special man and I'm so thankful that he choose to be my dad

I met Al Deiderich around 1966 or so when I decided the folks at KUDE were going to be my friends!!!

In my child's mind (12-17 years old) Al Deiderich was bigger than life and I mean that in the best of ways.....

When I look back on those days in the 60's and 70's, I respected Al because as great a newsman as he was, rather than ignoring me, he encouraged my interest in broadcast journalism.... He even let me read a tiny piece of news once.... I remember how the...

Dad was a great guy in a multitude of ways. So proud of him and all he did for the communities of North County. Those days of radio are long gone but hopefully not forgotten.

I remember him well at KUDE. Of course I was a kid and he was on the radio. Loved the smile he shared so often when I would see him at community events and promoting the station. I had to smile when I heard he would run the Fallbrook Chamber. I knew he would be a perfect fit.
