“We were shocked to hear of Alton,s sudden death. We will miss his visit,s to our camp on Brassua Lake riding his ATV. A great neighbor and of course another fine Mainer. We will miss him immensely next Summer when we visit Brassua Lake. Our thought,s and prayers to his family and friend,s. Al& Mary Gallagher & Sean.
“I just heard that Alton had passed away. I am in shock. I worked for him at CMFS in the ninety's as well. Alton was good to work for, he was fair and reasonable. Planes was his life and he's passion. He knew everthing about planes and enjoyed everthing about them. My thoughts go out to Kelly and the rest of his family. Sorry to hear of your loss.
“ Always enjoyed Alton's jokes and humor. He was an extremely hard worker, and he will be missed by many in the aviation community.
“A friend who always did what he said he would do.
“Alton will be missed by all who shared 38 years of his life;
“Alton will never be forgotten, always & forever be a part within my heart. God Bless all of his families.
“Alton was a good man that was taken to soon for sure. I admired him as a young child , because he was a pilot & gave my sister our first plane ride ever...He was asked to be in the movie "Hoffa" because of his airport . As a child it was really neat to see pictures of him w/ Jack Nickolson & Danny Devito!GOD speed Uncle Alton. Jaime & Jodi Prentiss Winslow
“Thoughts and prayers to all the family. Alton was one of a kind. I have many fond memories sitting at mom's table having coffee and conversation. Will miss his laughter! Brenda Prentiss and family
